MyID Selected as a Technology medallist
in the BCS IT Professional Awards
MyID has been selected as a medallist
in the annual BCS (British Computer Society) IT Professional Awards
in the systems category for its key role in the Department of Transport
Ireland Tachograph project
Lutterworth, United Kingdom - July 28, 2006 -
Intercede Ltd., a market leader in smart card and identity credential
management systems, today, announced that MyID has been selected
as a technology medallist in the annual BCS IT Professional Awards.
The digital tachograph, or personal driver card,
has been developed as part of a European road safety initiative.
European Commission legislation requires that all Member State's
goods and passenger transport vehicles must be equipped with digital
tachographs.
The Department of Transport Ireland selected
MyID because it helped them to comply with EU legislation by providing
an easy to use Tachograph card management system. MyID enable the
Department of Transport Ireland to efficiently enrol over 100,000
transport professionals, quickly process Tachograph applications
and effectively manage Tachograph smart cards including renewal,
replacement and exchange all within single easy-to-use management
interface.
