MyID Selected as a Technology medallist in the BCS IT Professional Awards

MyID has been selected as a medallist in the annual BCS (British Computer Society) IT Professional Awards in the systems category for its key role in the Department of Transport Ireland Tachograph project

Lutterworth, United Kingdom - July 28, 2006 - Intercede Ltd., a market leader in smart card and identity credential management systems, today, announced that MyID has been selected as a technology medallist in the annual BCS IT Professional Awards.

The digital tachograph, or personal driver card, has been developed as part of a European road safety initiative. European Commission legislation requires that all Member State's goods and passenger transport vehicles must be equipped with digital tachographs.

MyID enable the Department of Transport Ireland to efficiently enrol over 100,000 transport professionals, quickly process Tachograph applications and effectively manage Tachograph smart cards including renewal, replacement and exchange all within single easy-to-use management interface.

"Intercede are extremely pleased to have made it into the final stages of the BCS IT Professional Awards and look forward to taking part in the final awards ceremony in December." said Richard Parris, Chairman and CEO of Intercede. "The selection of MyID, as part of the Department of Transport Ireland Tachograph project, further strengthens MyID's position as the leading smart card and identity credential management system available on the market today."
