Intercede and Fujitsu Services to provide enhanced efficiency and security for a major UK Government department

Intercede Group plc (IGP LN) (IGP.L) a leading developer of electronic identity management software and Fujitsu Services, a leading provider of Internet-focused information technology solutions for the global marketplace, today announced that a major UK Government Department will be deploying Intercede's edefice™ electronic identity management software to provide enhanced security for employees accessing its networks.

The department will be using edefice™ to provide both the issuance and day to day management of the smart cards used by individuals to securely access their local machines.

Although this announcement does not have a material impact on short term revenue, Intercede is making this news available to the market because it represents an important validation of the edefice™ product and provides a key UK Government reference site. The future potential revenue that will be available from government departments in the UK and overseas through partners such as Fujitsu Services is considered material to the Group's future prospects.

Richard Parris, Chairman & Chief Executive of Intercede, commented:

“We have been working with Fujitsu Services and their client for over two years now in the provision of security solutions, and are delighted they have chosen edefice™ to complement these solutions. Their decision validates our strategy of supplying edefice™ to large organisations through partners.”
