Launch of edefice Version 6.3
Intercede, a leading developer of electronic
identity management software, today announces the launch of the
latest version of its key web-based management product, edefice™.
Intercede Group plc (IGP LN) (IGP.L), a leading
developer of electronic identity management software, announces
that it will officially launch edefice™ 6.3 at CardTech/SecurTech
(CTST) in New Orleans and at Infosec in London.
Both of these exhibitions commence tomorrow, Tuesday 23 April
2002, and will last until Thursday 25 April 2002.
Following the launch of edefice 6.0 announced
in October 2001, edefice 6.3 represents a significant step forward
in terms of meeting the rapidly emerging needs of our channel
partners and their customers. Oberthur and Compaq will be demonstrating
their own derivatives of edefice 6.3 at Londons Infosec
exhibition. Two unnamed US based partners will be launching
their own products based on edefice 6.3 at CTST in New Orleans.
Edefice 6.3 opens up new sales opportunities
for Intercede by supporting additional smart cards, authentication
tokens and USB devices. The incorporation of a device and user
profile editor provides enhanced centralised control of security
policies while retaining edefices intuitive user interface.
Powerful new work flows for issuing smart cards and their credentials
enables edefice 6.3 to deliver business benefits to a wider market
and as a result significantly broadens the revenue potential of
the product line.
Edefice 6.3 further cements Intercedes
position as a world class provider of electronic identity management
software. Edefice 6.3 will be showcased on Intercedes own
booth, No. 758, at CTST.
Richard Parris, Chief Executive of Intercede,
said today:
Edefice 6.0 enabled Intercede to secure
a number of important partnership agreements which incorporated
US$800,000 in advance revenues. Edefice 6.3 represents a further
substantial technical progression, thereby enabling these partners
to satisfy an increasingly wide variety of potential applications
for their customers.
